Congratulations to our fifth grade students that participated in an Hour of Code this week! It was a great opportunity for students to learn about coding through interactive games and challenges! Want to explore more? Check out the websites under the "Helpful Websites" tab for more fun!
ONE BOOK...
ONE GRADE
This summer all students entering Grade 5 will be required to read one book:
The One and Only Ivan
by
Katherine Applegate
The book is based on the true story of a real life gorilla who spent 27 years in a shopping mall in Tacoma, Washington.
It is essential that all students read this book, as many beginning of the year activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Reader’s & Writer’s Workshop are based on the this book. We encourage families to read this book with their fifth grader, and use it as opportunity for discussion.
Please note that this book is a required summer reading assignment and extra copies will be available at the Princeton Public Library for borrowing.
Happy Summer and Happy Reading!

Friendly Reminder!
If you would like to meet with either Mrs. Prunier or Ms. Crowell, please email or call the school to make an appointment. Please do not drop in unannounced. By scheduling a meeting, we are making sure we make the most of our time together.
Where are you going after school?
Please remember to send a note with your child informing us of where your child will be going after school, if it differs from their normal bus/pick-up routine. This is imperative information for us to know, so that our students get to where they need to go safely after school.
We encourage notes for changes that are recurring (track, chorus, etc.).
