It’s Turkey Day! What is Turkey Day, you may ask. Well, Turkey Day is a grade five annual celebration, about Thanksgiving, the Pilgrims, and (of course) TURKEYS! To start Turkey Day, we started a graphic organizer about domestic and wild turkeys (diet, adaptations, and body). Then we started the movie - My Life As A Turkey, to help list physical and mental characteristics of a wild turkey. Of course though, starting the movie wasn’t easy thanks to Princeton internet, so thats when Mr. Schwab came to the rescue, by giving us a USB adapter for the iPad. When the movie was running smoothly again, we lined up to get food and drinks, generously brought by Ms. Crowell and Mrs. Prunier to enjoy with the movie. Once the movie ended, that about topped off our phenomenal Turkey Day.
Blogging! Have you ever wondered the point of it all? Well, we're here to explain everything that you'll need to know! The basic point of it is to inform you on everything in the fifth grade. From field trips to projects and big events. Our job is really fun and makes us feel like reporters on the scene. Blogging helps us express ourselves through writing.
Why we blog? Well. . . We have plenty of time to answer that question! Our technique helps staff of TPS and parents or guardians understand the importance of our grade. What we blog about. . . That's a different story. Recent blogs published by the fifth graders have included the new playground, science rocks, and sixth grades amazing mash-ups. Be sure to check out those blogs and a lot more. You've seen our blogs, you've read our blogs, but have you ever wondered how we write our blogs? First, we sit down and put our thinking caps on. Now is the fun part; brainstorming! We just think of the most interesting topics and start putting words together. Editing is next, although we don't want to, it helps readers. Finally we must type. It doesn't take very long, but it makes a big difference. That's your total access to the inside world of blogging!!! |
