Have you ever been to the Arts Festival? Well we'll tell you about it. We hold it every year in the month of March. This year our school theme was recycling. Fifth grade showed off our awesome worm bin. Our bin contained the star of the show- the red wiggler worms. Their job is to decompose potatoes, apple cores, and sometimes newspaper. They poop out the 'delicious food' which actually is compost. The compost contains a blast of nutrients which we use for our plant hospital. Fifth grade also showed off the rain sticks we made in art class. Our rain-sticks contained a variety of beans, tiny pebbles, grains, and some that have a mixture of all! The 8th graders performed a fabulous fashion show with their stylish shirts/dresses that used to be old draggy clothing. All students created and drew beautiful pictures and sculptures. Also, students could perform for parents, friends and family. The art show was amazingly fun. Thanks for all your support!
