Mr. Otteman’s class and Ms.Sullivan's class competed in the special olympics against other schools. The participants from our school were Sean, Taylor, Allison, Dennis, Liam, Nicole, Ethan, Jake, Faith, Tyler, Nathan, John, Joe, Brandon, Drew, and Matt. People competed in the 50 meter dash, the 100 meter dash, and the 200 meter dash. There was also a softball toss, a beanbag toss, and the running long jump, and finally the relay race. When we first got there, there was announcements and then a great big parade. Before the games began they lit a torch as the symbol of the Olympics. It was very hot out and everyone was sweating. I competed in the 100 meter dash the 50 meter dash and the relay race I got a gold medal in the 100 meter dash a silver medal in the 50 meter dash and a gold in the relay race. My favorite event was the 100 meter dash because I got a gold medal! My favorite part of the whole day was getting 2 gold medals!!! Our team name is The Princeton Knights. We came up with our team name by voting. At the end of the day everyone had lots of fun and I’m looking forward to it next year!
