Have you ever wanted to learn about Mt. Everest? Well this is why Ed Webster came to our school today. At the age of 11, Ed has always ambitioned about climbing. Now he is one of the most famous people to climb Mount Everest. Over his career of climbing, he has been able to do three expeditions on Mount Everest! Before his expeditions, he had to go through many climbing training. He climbed in 1985, 1988 and 1992. Ed first climbed Crow Hill, in Leominster State Forest, at age of 11. 15 years later, Ed is known as a professional climber who has completed many first ascendants. You may just know him as a climber, but he wrote some books that have been voted top ten book and five stars on amazon.com. He is a very achieved person as climbing the 29,000 foot Mt. Everest and wrote some catchy books that people love. Think about this: Webster was one of the four people chosen to be on the climb. The only way someone could climb Mt. Everest at the time was to be chosen on this team of four. Also, not just Webster is a climber and a writer, he went on to save his friends. I think you can say Ed Webster was a very important person for our society and nation. Check out his WEBSITE for more information!
