Welcome back to the 5th Grade Worm Farm! Much of the food that was put in the bin during the beginning of the year is now gone, WOW those worms were hungry! Our Red Wigglers, the worms, have been busy making compost. Speaking of compost, Mrs. Prunier's class made a "Compost Tea". No, this is not to drink! We used a 10 to 1 ratio, meaning 1 cup of worm compost and 10 cups of water to make our tea. Mrs. Prunier watered her Spider Plant the day that we made it. The plant was droopy, and did not look so good. Two days later, she has some new growth and her plant is perking up now. The 5th Grade can't wait to see what will happen to the worms later on! Check in for more worm updates in the future!
